All-Inclusive: 7 nights at Riu Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Five pools are dotted around the hotel’s garden-filled grounds, two of which are adults-only and come with swim-up bars. A smaller pool is on hand for children to paddle in, too, along with a slide-filled splash park. If sandy shorelines are more your scene, you’ll find a pillow-soft beach a pebble’s throw from the pool area.

You’ll have a total of five outdoor pools to take a dip in, and the two smaller ones each come with a swim-up bar. There’s free-to-use sunbeds, parasols and towels by the pools, too.

This place has three buffet restaurants – an international number, an Asian eatery and an Italian place. A Jamaican barbecue station, a gourmet à la carte, a steakhouse and six bars round off the dining options.

Music and dance shows are the norm in the evening. Elsewhere, teens can unwind in the Riu4U Club. It comes with a mini-football table and a chilled-out video game area.

RiuLand Kids’ Club
There’s a daytime entertainment programme for children aged 4 to 7 and 8 to 12 years. It’s an ideal place for them to make new friends, where they can take part in arts and crafts, nature walks and dance classes. Plus, there’s a soft play area and an activity room.

Riu4U club: Teens aged 13 to 17 can get involved with the entertainment at Riu4U, including games, challenges, trivia and table tennis. It’s offered a few times a week.

There’s a long list of massages* to choose from in the upgraded spa, and you can treat yourself to a makeover* in the beauty salon. You’ll find strength-training and cardio machines, as well as a selection of dumbbells, in the gym.

You’ll find a watersports centre on the beach, where you can give paddle-surfing, kayaking and catamaran sailing a go. If you’d prefer to try scuba diving, a free lesson’s available in one of the pools. On dry land, you can opt for a game of volleyball on the beach, and kick back with a friendly game of billiards*.
