All-Inclusive Trip: 7 nights at The Magic Life Calabria

The buffet at the main restaurant – Magico – features a catalogue of international dishes. There are themed nights and live cooking, so you’ll be able to watch the chefs work their magic before you tuck into your meal. Drinks are available around the clock at Wunderbar. There are speciality restaurants mapped out, too, including one on the beach, a poolside Italian and a place that’s exclusive to those staying in the Private Lodge rooms. You’ll also find 4 bars including a poolside spot. Plus, another two for those staying in Private Lodge rooms.

Magico buffet restaurant. Opening Times: [07.30-11.00, 12.30-14.30, 18.30-21.30]. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this place puts on buffet spreads with a mix of local and international dishes. There’s a pasta corner, themed nights and live show cooking where you can see your meals being prepared fresh for you. You’ll find plenty of healthy options, too.

Wunderbar. A 24-hour bar offering a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, juices, coffee and cocktails.

Coffee House. Opening Times: [15.00-17.00]. This is on the corner of the Wunderbar, and they serve coffee, cake and fruit.

Beach bar. Opening Times: [10.00-18.00]

Pool bar. Opening Times: [10.00-18.00]: This is at the activity pool, and you can get drinks here.

Private Lodge pool bar Opening Times: [10.00-18.00]: This pool bar can be found in the adult’s only section, in the Private Lodge. Just so you know, this bar is for private lodge guests only.

Private Lodge Buffet. Opening Times: [07.30-11.00, 12.00-15.00, 18.30-21.30]: You’ll be able to dine here if you’re staying in an adults-only Private Lodge room as it’s exclusive to you. This restaurant serves up a buffet spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A modern setting where you can tuck into dishes from the six regions of TUI MAGIC LIFE, which are Spain, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia and Italy. Just so you know, you’ll get one dinner, per week, included here, while any additional dinners will be at a charge of €10 per adult and €5 per child.

Private Lodge Restaurant*: This adults-only restaurant serves up Italian dishes and boasts a good-sized wine list. If you’re staying in a Private Lodge room you’ll have one dinner included per week. If you’re not staying in a Private Lodge room, you can still dine here but at an additional charge.

Fish & Grill speciality restaurant*: An à la carte menu serving grilled fish and meat dishes in a beach side setting.

Choose from a great range of dishes for dinner. You’ll get 1 visit per week included in your All Inclusive. These places are only open on select days, so you’ll need to reserve a table 7 days in advance via the TUI MAGIC LIFE app. Additional use of the speciality restaurants – extra charge – subject to availability, at the price of €10 per adult and €5 per child.

Private Lodge Bar. Opening Times: [19.00-00.00]. This bar is exclusively for guests staying in the private lodge.

There are loads of swimming pools to choose from. The main one’s got a snack bar beside it, and there’s a shallow pool for families. Kids, meanwhile, can play in a slide-filled mini-splash park. If you upgrade to a room in the Private Lodge, you’ll have access to a big pool that’s reserved for over-16s. There’s also a private sandy beach five minutes’ walk away.

Activity pool: Opening Times: [09.00-19.00]. This is the main pool and it’s the place to go if you’re feeling energetic. The day-to-day activities are always changing, but the programme includes things like aqua dance, water polo, aqua aerobics and poolside games. Activities aside, you can grab a drink from the nearby bar and take it easy on one of the sunbeds.

Mini-splash park. Opening Times: [09.00-19.00]. The little ones will be kept entertained with five slides and a pair of tipping buckets in the mini-splash park. There’s also a section for toddlers, with a splash pad, jets, rings and a miniature slide.

Heated family pool. Opening Times: [09.00-19.00]

Private Lodge pool: Opening Times: [09.00-19.00]. This quiet, adults-only pool is just for the guests staying in the Private Lodge area. It’s got its own poolside bar, too.

Kids’ pool

Pool towels: You’ll be given a towel card when you check in. Swap this card for a towel at the station, and once you return the towel, you’ll get your card back to use again.

The sports program lines up everything from beach volleyball and tennis to cycling tours and archery. You’ll also have a timetable of fitness classes to dip into, and watersports, like windsurfing, down on the beach. Four different clubs mean activities are tailored to your child’s age group. Littlest ones will be able to get involved with competitions and creative sessions, while teens can join DJ workshops and e-gaming tournaments.

Tennis: Opening Times: [08.00-12.00, 15.00-22.00]. There’s 11 tennis courts. Five are artificial grass and six of them are clay courts. All courts have floodlights.

Cycling programme: Mountain bike tours are offered several times a week. There are guided tours in the morning and beginner tours in the afternoon. Road bike tours are on offer several times a week, too.

Archery: You’ll find the archery range in a nice wooded area between the hotel and the beach. It’s for ages 16 and over, with tournaments for different levels of skill. It’s normally available Sunday to Friday.

As well as a menu of massages and beauty treatments, there’s a steam room and a relaxation area in the spa*. The box-fresh gym comes complete with up-to-the-minute cardio and weight-training equipment. There’s also a shaded fitness area set aside for resistance and circuit training.

Spa*: Here, you’ll find a steam room to relax in, plus there’s also a range of treatments to choose from.
Gym: The gym’s equipped with exercise bikes, treadmills and resistance machines, plus a water dispenser. There are also outdoor cardio and strengthening devices.
