All inclusive: 7 nights at Sunrise Beach Hotel, in Protaras, Cyprus

The hotel’s lagoon-style pool is inches from the beach, so you’ll get close-up views of the Mediterranean Sea from your lounger. There’s a separate splash area for children, plus heated pool options in April and October. A thatched-roof swim-up bar serves the adults-only pool. The hotel has a clever system in place, which means each guest is allocated a sunbed at check-in.

A la carte dining comes courtesy of an on-site American diner, a Brazilian Steakhouse, a seafood restaurant next door at the Sunrise Peal, and four bistros on Protaras’ main strip, which serve Greek, Asian and Italian cuisine.

You’ll find the restaurant in front of the hotel where you’ll come across a large terrace that you can dine on. The kitchen is open for you to see meals being freshly made. A big must while staying in the hotel is to visit this bar. It’s where the night comes alive. The entertainment in the evening is live singing acts, live instrument acts, dance shows and magic.

Reef American Grill*

This American style restaurant serves up some really tasty dishes likes flame-grilled steaks, beef burgers, juicy barbecued ribs and much more. It gives off a comfortable and friendly atmosphere and if you’re a sports lover you’ll be pleased to know there are five large TV’s that show live sporting events. Highchairs are available. Just a few steps from the beach with an outdoor terrace overlooking the sea, the Levanda Restaurant specialises in Mediterranean cuisine. It’s open for breakfast and lunch.

Kyklos Mezedopoleio Greek Restaurant*

Have comfortable shoes on for your visit to the local restaurant as it’s a short 300 metre walk. Kyklos Mezedopoleio offers an al fresco dining experience inspired by authentic local recipes as well as a few dishes from the Greek islands. Highchairs are available. Available at the American diner, seafood restaurant at the Sunrise Pearl Hotel next door and the Brazilian, Asian, Italian and Greek restaurants on Protaras strip. Just so you know, if you are on the Half Board package, you will get a 15€ allowance at the seafood place at the sister hotel.

Lemongrass Asian restaurant

This place has a large terrace for al fresco dining, it offers a selection of authentic dishes. You’ll find it next next to the Sunrise Beach entrance. You’ll need to book a table in advance and bookings are limited to one reservation per week.

The meat here is brought straight to your table on large skewers and is cut right before your eyes. Plus, there’s an unlimited salad bar. You’ll need to book a table in advance here, bookings are limited to one reservation per week.
