Annex section: This area is up a steep hill, away from the main building. The annex apartments, multisports court, second pool, extra bar and TV lounge are all here. There’s also a small wellness area with a Turkish bath, hairdressers*, massage cabin* and a small, pool-view gym. They’re all available to everyone, and you can ask for lift in a golf buggy to get between the main area and annex area. All other facilities are in the main area, closer to the beach.

The menu in the restaurant champions everything Mediterranean – some of the food even comes direct from the hotel’s garden. Once a week, the chef dedicates a night to Calabrian cuisine. Rustic pizzas and bread are cooked each afternoon in a wood-fired pizza oven. There’s a bar serving salads and sandwiches for lunch, too.

I Ricci restaurant: This restaurant offers both local and international cuisine with locally-sourced ingredients, often from the hotel’s own gardens. There’s a Continental breakfast buffet until 10am, plus a two-course menu for lunch and dinner, serving the likes of meat, fish, vegetables, pasta and wood-fired pizza. There’s a buffet station for sides, too. Once a week, the chef also hosts a theme night showcasing Calabrian dishes. And if you fancy eating al fresco, there’s a smart terrace with a nice sea view.

Live music, magic and dance shows are hosted in a mini-amphitheatre beside the beach. There are trained cocktail waiters in the bar, too.

Evening entertainment programme: There’s a small amphitheatre for evening entertainment every night from mid-June to mid-September. The schedule normally includes two professional shows – like magicians, bands or musicals – a week. On Fridays there’s a Calabrian-themed night with an accordion player and ricotta cheese to sample.

Pianist: From May to October, a pianist sometimes plays on the restaurant terrace during lunch and dinner.
