This property is located on the beachfront. Featuring a spa, 9 restaurants and 2 outdoor pools and an water park with 29 water slides for kids and adults, Sandos Caracol Eco Resort is set on Playa del Carmen Beach, overlooking Cozumel Island. Some of the rooms have balconies overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
Sandos Caracol Eco Resort is in beautiful gardens and features bright accommodations. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, air conditioning and a minibar. Wi-Fi is available for free in public areas.

Choose your pool depending on your mood. The main number’s perfect for a splash-about with the family, plus it’s got a poolside bar. If you fancy something quieter, dip in to the chill-out pool instead. The hotel’s waterpark has almost 30 slides to choose from. You could spend hours racing down the slides and exploring the three different zones – one of which is just for younger children.

The waterpark ticks off 29 slides including kamikaze and body-slides, 7 slides suitable for adults and kids, plus child-friendly ones. There’s also a splash area for smaller swimmers.
The main pool hosts fun and games such as water volleyball.

For casual dining, you’ve got buffet restaurants to pick from. La Laguna, for example, is right next to a river that runs through the resort’s mangrove forest. When it comes to à la cartes, you’ve got everything from a teppanyaki restaurant where your food is cooked live at your table, to an Italian joint and a steakhouse.

Wake up early and join a morning meditation class at sunrise. Then work out in the gym, before cooling off with a Mayan massage* or a herb-scented body wrap* on a spa bed in the shade of the jungle.

Book in for a soothing massage*, or mani-pedi*. Bear in mind, the main spa is adults-only. Children have their own area, where there’s 3 treatments* and 4 packages* available. Children need to be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.

An adults-only gym that’s kitted out with all the exercise essentials.
There’s lots to get up to when you’re not by the pool, like dance classes, tennis and water polo. The hotel also runs eco activities and tours around its grounds, so you can tick off the likes of jungle bike rides, cenote swimming and mangrove snorkelling. You can even plant a native tree.
Being in the middle of the jungle there’s plenty of eco activities to take part in. Learn about the mangroves, the jungle and the Maya culture on an eco tour or take part in a sensory experience and be guided along a jungle path while blindfolded. You could also take a kayak out on the Caribbean Sea, plant a tree, take a bike tour, experience a romantic boat ride on the river, or swim in a cenote – a clear water sinkhole. Little ones can also learn to care for rescued animals at the Mini Farm.
