All inclusive: 7 nights at Olympic Lagoon Resort Ayia Napa, in Ayia Napa, Cyprus

With seven pools, a host of water features, and a long sweep of beach right outside, the Olympic Lagoon Resort’s got laidback days of swimming and sunbathing all wrapped up. There are free-to-use pool towels, too. The pools range from one designed for families to one that’s just for adults. There’s also a kids’ splash pool with a play pirate ship at its centre, and the lazy river is the cherry on top.

Blue Lagoon outdoor pool

The adults-only Blue Lagoon pool comes with seated whirlpools, massage jets, water loungers and waterfalls. There’s a sun terrace with sunbeds, parasols and towels provided, too.

Kids’ pool
The Little Monsters pool has its own pirate ship with water slides.

Fishermans lazy river

A watercourse that snakes through landscaped gardens. Rubber rings are provided so you can let the gentle rapids push you along as you take in the views.

Fishermans Village outdoor pool

Exclusive to adults staying in the Fisherman’s Village rooms, this private pool offers tranquillity surrounded by tropical landscaped gardens.

Indoor pool

One of the largest in Cyprus, this heated, semi Olympic-sized indoor pool features whirlpools and waterfalls.

There are seven restaurants to dine in. They include a candlelit Italian place that’s reserved for adults, a Fifties-style diner – great for burgers and blues music – and an Asian eatery that serves Japanese teppanyaki. This is all on top of the buffet, which has seating areas for adults and families as well as a different theme every night.

Rock n’ Roll American diner
Opening Times: [12.30-15.00, 18.30-23.00]
This family-friendly restaurant rocks, with 50’s music from the jukebox and an all-American à la carte menu featuring burgers, sandwiches and milkshakes.

Royal Olympic buffet restaurant
Opening Times: [07.00-10.30, 12.30-14.30, 18.30-21.30]
Head to the Royal Olympic for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Take your pick from indoor or outdoor seating and enjoy watching your meal being cooked for you. Pizzas are cooked on demand, and there are salad and pasta stations, as well as a range of foods to suit the theme of the evening. Designated family areas and adults-only areas are available.

Captain’s Deck restaurant
Opening Times: [18.30-21.30]
Two meals per week at the Captains Deck restaurant are included in your package. It’s a traditional taverna overlooking the Fisherman’s Village gardens. Expect meze platters and authentic Cypriot sweets. A table reservation is required. It’s open five days a week, from April to October.

7 Orchids Pan-Asian Restaurant
Opening Times: [18.30-20.00, 20.30-21.30]
You’ll get one visit per week included here during your stay, but remember to make a reservation. This outdoor restaurant is on its own little island in the Lazy River, and serves the best of contemporary Pan Asian cuisine, prepared live and on the spot including teppanyaki and sushi. Important to note that the restaurant’s for adults only from 8.30pm. It’s open six days a week, from April to October.

You & Me Bar
Opening Times: [17.00-24.00]
This bar is open for drinks and coffee through the day, served indoors or on the terrace. It becomes an adults-only place from 8pm.

Blue Lagoon bar
Opening Times: [10.00-1.00]
This outdoor pool bar and swim-up bar serve up a range of drinks and snacks in a pergola-covered seating area. In the evening, this bar becomes a cocktail bar with upbeat music. Drinks here are included as part of your All Inclusive package. It’s open from April to October.

This indoor bar has an outdoor terrace – serves a range of drinks, soft drinks and a selection of coffees. Drinks are included as part of your All Inclusive package.

The Xperience Arena bar

This bar is a custom-designed entertainment venue where you can watch Kanika All Star performances with state-of-the-art sound and lighting. Serving a wide variety of drinks as part of your All Inclusive package.

Restaurant dress code
It is smart casual attire in some food venues – tailored shorts may be worn. However, no sleeveless T-shirts or flip flops can be worn when dining. For some restaurants, men will need to wear full-length trousers, a collared shirt or polo shirt, plus closed shoes.

A spot of R&R comes by way of the spa*. Mud wraps, manicures and massages are on the menu* or you can chill out in the child-free hot tub* and gym*. There’s also a huge indoor pool in here.

The Xperience Arena leads the way when it comes to evening entertainment. Everything from magic shows to mini-discos, bingo, quizzes and Broadway-themed performances are hosted in here each night. Something more low-key can be found on the outside terrace, where you can knock back a few fruity cocktails. There’s also an adults-only bar called You & Me. Children can run wild at the hotel-run kids’ club, where under-18s get a games room and organised activities.

Evening entertainment programme

The evenings kick off with a disco for the kids followed by quizzes, games, cabaret shows, comedy and live music to name a few. There’s also a weekly cocktail party and themed evenings featuring barbecues as well as Cypriot, international and tropical nights.
