Steps lead down from the columned reception area to the main, heated pool. There’s a bar here for drinks. Set on different levels from the main pool are two smaller pools with bar service on tap. You’ve also got a pair of sunbathing terraces, topped with Balinese beds* to flake out on.

There are two restaurants – both are buffet places, and one offers off-the-menu Mediterranean-inspired choices for lunch and dinner, too. At lunchtime, you can order light bites from the poolside restaurant. Four bars have got drinks covered, day into night. Head to Bar 1999 for healthy drinks and smoothies, or Lyon Club for cocktails and dancing after dark.

You’ll find self-serve eats in this restaurant, which dishes up for breakfast, lunch and dinner – with show cooking stations. There’s also a late riser breakfast if you fancy having a lie-in.

Breakfast at The One is exclusively for Esencia guests, and between 11am and 12.30pm there’s a brunch service* on the terrace outside this restaurant – which requires a table reservation. And Mediterranean fare is dished up for main evening meals – starter and desserts are self-serve, meanwhile the main course is à la carte. If you have booked Half Board, Full Board or All Inclusive, for every 4 nights stay, guests can enjoy a dinner in this speciality restaurant – reservation one day in advance, subject to availability.

Corner at the One

This pool bar serves drinks, cocktails and ice-cream during the day. In the evenings, this bar serves signature cocktails. Just so you know, this bar is open until 9pm in the winter.

Bar 1999

From 10.30am ’til 5pm there’s coffee, ice-cream and a drinks service – including juices. Snacks are served from 11am ’til 5pm, and from 6pm onwards, there are cocktails and aperitifs.
